Vehicle Rally & Family Fun Day
The Rotary Club of Gosport hold a Vehicle Rally and Family Fun Day each August Bank Holiday Monday between 10am and 4.30pm on the filed behind nad to the side of the sailing club. A large gathering of veteran, vintage, military and modern vehicles, motorbikes and bicycles with charity stalls and refreshments with all proceeds going towards the Mayor of Gosport’s Charities.
New Year Day Swim
Each New Year Day at 12 noon crowds of swimmers and their supporters with hundreds of spectators gather at the slipway raising funds for the Gosport & Fareham Inshore Rescue Service.
Petanque
There are two petanque play areas next to the flower beds in front of the Pebble Beach Cafe and bar. The play area was constructed in 2009 as part of the commemoration of Gosport’s link to its twin town of Royan in France. It is free to use and the area is maintained by the Friends of Stokes Bay.
