Splash Park
The splash park is a free outside play facility with traditional all year round play equipment and water features, the latter being open between 10am and 4pm daily in the summer. It is situated on the promenade by the Pebbles cafe.
Picnics and Barbecues
Voted one of the top picnic areas, there are picnic benches at various locations within the grass areas behind the promenade and four BBQ stands with integral hot bin and picnic bench nearby: donated by Gosport Rotary Club, these enable visitors to safely enjoy their BBQ without damaging the grass. Three are on the field behind GAFIRS and a fourth beyond the Splash Park.

Golden Mile and Gym Equipment
The start of the Golden Mile along the promenade is just past the GAFIRS slipway and the end is just before the promenade ends at No.2 Battery. There are individual items of gym equipment to compliment the Golden Mile that runs along the Promenade.
Golf Club
The Gosport and Stokes Bay Golf Club is a 9-hole links course with 18 tees situated at the Gilkicker end of the Bay with the greens either side of Gilkicker Lake. The clubhouse is in Fort Road. The course, which offers panoramic views of the Solent, was on this course that the term “bogey” originated.
